Unfortunately, we cannot achieved this currently. But it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

When we spoke to Mark I was under the impression this was possible, although he did say we will need Easy Blog.
Can EB be used to perform this function?

Yes it is. When Rss is imported using EB, it will shown you those post on your streams. On above reply, we only used EasySocial apps only and not EasyBog apps. Those Rss feed be consider as new blog post and then those will be shown on your stream once published/shared on Easyblog.
