In Easyblog 5.2 there is no longer the rss icon in the toolbar.
However, it would be very useful to have the possibility to insert it on every page of the blog and, above all, on the main page, (not necessarily on the toolbar).
In fact, at the moment, it's no longer possible for users to subscribe to the feed in an immediate way.
Thanks.
I understand ... I took your advice and I created a new ticket in the "Feature Request".
Let's hope for the best!

Why was this never implemented? Actually the better question was why the heck was it ever removed????? How do people get an RSS feed for the blog? No everyone wants to subscribe. Seem incredibly short-sighted.

The problem with having that icon is many readers are not technical savvy and upon clicking on the rss icon, it brings them to a page where they have absolutely no idea what it does apart from seeing garbled html codes (for Google Chrome) . This was the primary reason for removing the icon from EasyBlog.

The idea of RSS reader is as simple as copying the link of the blog, and pasting it on your favorite RSS feed reader and you are good to go.
