Hi
It seems that RSS link doesn't work:
When I click on it nothing happens. What's wrong?
Do I have to enable any component?

Sure I have missed something...Could you help me to configure it

Thank you
Giulia
hello Giulia Magnesa,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hi as it is a company blog I cannot absolutely give you access to backend and ftp.
I can provide some screen shots of my configuration eventually.

Could you indicate what I have to check?

Thanks in advance
Giulia

Hello Giulia Magnesa ,

If you can provide the access we can check on this quickly.

By the way, can you enable error_reporting to Maximum from your backend then click on your RSS link and see what error you hitting?

When I click on RSS link nothing happens, you can see directly at http://blog.pcvuesolutions.com/

Also I repeat I cannot give access to backend

I could provide you screenshots of backend configuration if necessary

Hello Giulia,

Nope, just I'm not asking for your access, sorry for confusing.

What i mean is IF you can provide us your site details, we can help you solve this as soon as possible.

It seems like that was the issues, the RSS feed URL without "?" or "&" between with latest and format word.

Can you temporary set Easyblog SEO routing behaviour to default from your backend > easyblog > setting > SEO > advanced setting > default > save and see how it goes?

By the way, can you attach this file to us? JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\helpers\feeds.php
And do you have any customization file in Easyblog?

Hello Giulia,

Please provide us with the backend and FTP access because we are unable to reproduce this issue locally. It could be due to some other 3rd party extension conflicts and unfortunately the only way to reproduce this error is on your site.

Hi
As I 've just written I cannot absolutely give access to ftp and backend as it is company website.
hope it is clear
Please note there is any other third party component (exept EasyBlog) .
It is a pure Joomla 2.5.27 installation.
If you indicate me which part of configuration environment you need I can collect the pictures.
Maybe there is something that I have not enabled

Thanks

Hello Giulia,

Unfortunately without the access we cannot proceed with the support because we have no idea what is wrong and we don't even know where to start testing this issue.

Are you joking ?
I'm available to give you all screenshots of my configuration .
I have also see it is possible to export configuration settings in EasyBlog.

What I'm asking if you have a documentation how to configure RSS correctly in EasyBlog so I could check by myself.

I'm wondering to have installed only your component without any other components and a simple function doesn't work

Hello Giulia,

That was true as my colleague mentioned in previous reply, because we are hard to tell you what is the issues causing this doesn't work well, and we are willing to help you solve this issues as fast as possible, hope you understand.

By the way, as you promised to us, can you capture in the following screenshot for us?
#1. Backend > Easyblog > Setting > SEO > General
#2. Backend > Easyblog > Setting > SEO > General > Advanced setting tab
#3. Backend > System > Global configuration > Site tab
#4. Backend > System > Global configuration > Server tab
#5. Backend > System > Clear cache
#6. Backend > Extension > Plugin manager > (capture all the plugin, maybe got some plugin conflict with this happening)
#7. Backend > Extension > Template manager > capture which template are you using

#8. Backend > Menus > capture all the menu item (I would like to check what is this menu item id -> 118)

STEP 2 : Set Easyblog routing behaviour to default (check my screenshot below)
STEP 3 : Then clear the cache.

By the way, may i know how to you show this "subscribe" and "RSS" link on your homepage? Check my screenshot below (screenshot_3.png)

hello
Thank you for your answer.
Please could you re-send the screenshots ( I don't see them in your post) ?

Regarding your question, I have added the subscription links following the instruction of support ticket: [#180102]: New reply added - add RSS/subscription link in the home page and I have changed the file default.php in ../modules/mod_easyblogsubscribe/tmpl/default.php

Hello
In the meanwhile I have created the new menu item as you suggested (without setting default seo and clear cache) and it works.
So the problem is the customized default.php file I have received in the ticket : [#180102]: New reply added - add RSS/subscription link in the home page
Could you help me to correct the code in default.php file?
../modules/mod_easyblogsubscribe/tmpl/

Hello Giulia Magnesa,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply and missed out my screenshot in my previous reply,

Yes, it seems like my colleague help you customized on that file missing the "&", try take a look of this file :

//LINE 65
<img src="feed-plus.png" width="16" height="16" align="top" /> <a href="http://blog.pcvuesolutions.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&views=latestformat=feed&type=rss" >Subscribe via RSS</a>

//You should replace on this code
<img src="feed-plus.png" width="16" height="16" align="top" /> <a href="http://blog.pcvuesolutions.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&views=latest&format=feed&type=rss" >Subscribe via RSS</a>

and see how it goes.
