Hi,

Hope you can help - I've installed Roksprocket and have 2 issues:

1) Images from the blog posts aren't coming through when I display roksprocket

2) links don't work from the roksprocket module

UNLESS....

I add both image and links manually (using the custom feature) for each and every blog post. This gets it to work.

Obviously that's frustrating having to manually do it for each and every easyblog post.

Is this something you can help me fix please?

Thanks

Mark
Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I not so sure I understand you well. Perhaps you can provide us with any screenshot of the issue. Also, can you kindly provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can assist you further on this issue.

Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi

Thanks, if you visit my home page you'll see the Roksprocket mosaic. The pics you can see are ones that I have directly inserted into the backend of Roksprocket as direct custom links.

What I want to do is not have to set each individual picture manually.

Instead, I want to have the default set so that it always pulls the picture from the Easyblog post into the thumbnail of Roksprocket on the home page.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have checked your site and it seems that Roksprocket uses blog image as the display image for the mosaic module. I have created a test blog on your site, Rockspocket and EasyBlog are working as it should be. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/KW0RIiPa .

If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.
Thanks.

Hi - thanks for your help but it's still not working unfortunately.

There were 2 problems mentioned in my original post:

1) the images

2) the links

Just starting with the links, they are still not working at all. If you click on any of the article links in the mosaic on the front page (including your test post), it just takes me to the home page of my site. It doesn't take me to the article it should do.

For the images, I can see you have loaded your pic of the beach into the 'Blog Image' field of the Easy blog post. That seems to be a single picture that covers the entire blog. Which means that the same picture will show on every single article displayed on the front page! I don't want that, I want the unique image on each blog post to show up as a thumbnail on the front page in the mosaic.

So, in your test post, I'd expect the cartoon pic to show up on the front page in the mosaic.

Hope that makes sense, and hope it's something you can fix.

Thanks for your help,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Regarding your links issue, I have helped you fix this issue. I have put a fix on your site in this file: .../components/com_roksprocket/lib/RokSprocket/Provider/EasyBlog.php Line: 67. Can your verify for me this issue is resolved?

About the images, I believe there are some misunderstanding here. Let me re-explain this, each blogs have their own blog image. You can set blog image to each blog post. So, each blog post will have their own blog image. Also, it seems that Roksprocket uses blog image as the display image for the mosaic module. So, this means that if your blog doesn't have blog image, Roksprocket mosaic module will not display it in your site.

Please advise.
Thanks.
