I see that the functionality to ban users is on the roadmap and tentatively slated for version 3.1.0 (May 2014).
What is the planned functionality for this? Will there be an option to ban users in a silent way so that they can login but all their actions/posts will not be visible to others? This way the "banned" user will not be aware they are banned as they can still login and appear to use the site. This will prevent them from attempting to create a new separate account and start to reoffend.
On a separate note, is there any possibility of moving this up on the roadmap timeline? This would seem to be a rather important function for administrators and it is still quite a while from now until May 2014. Perhaps you could consult with the customer base. Thank you for your consideration.
