Hi there,

I found bug in EasyBlog History/Revisions.

If I have a text block in my post, and I add more than one blank enter (br) to my text,
and after this enters I write some text -> next save my post -> open again to edit my post -> go to History -> click to previous version -> Compare -> this last change (adding text) after this two enters will be not visible.

I checkend this many many times. Changes in Compare mode are not visible, if this changes are added after two blank enters.

Please check this by yourself and let me know, if I'm right

Best regards!
Adam
Hi Adam,
You are right. Thanks for reporting this. I am able to replicate this on my local instance. I will report this issue to the devs and see what can be done to fix this.

Hi Raymond, thanks for your feedback.

I noticed one more thing, which is annoying.

I add a post as a user, whose posts needs to be moderated (Author). So I add a post, moderator (Moderator) see this post as post which needs to be moderated, but reject this post immediately.

So it generates draft and post is rejected. As Author, I edit again my post, and one more time send to approve.

Moderator again reject my post.

And again the same, again and again.

Problem is, that every changes in post, are not stored in History tab as a new revision. So if post is rejected before first publish, there are no information about any changes (it is still as Initial in History).

If I - as Moderator accept post first time, and Author edit his post and send again to approve, if I reject this changes, I see this in History tab as revision... - what is OK.

So why I don't see changes in History tab, if changes are made before first publish of post? It makes this feature very unhelpful, because most of changes are made after first review and reject post... (before first publish). But at now, I can't inspect, what changes Author made in post when I reject his post before first publish...

It's complicated to describe, but I hope that I explain it clear

If you'll have any questions, please let me know. Believe me, that issue what I describe above, is very important for Moderators...

Best regards for you!
Adam

Hey Adam,
The default behavior is this, revisions will only be created if a post is published. When a moderator approves a post, it is published as well, hence a revision is created.
When a post is being rejected, no new drafts/revision will be created.
The moderators can always fill in the reason the post is being rejected when rejecting a post, that way the author knows why and proceeds to modify the post.

Hi Raymond,

it will be better and easier, if revision will be created from the beggining, not from first approve of post.

Where can I modify it in code? At not it is not useful as it should be...

I am not encourage to modify this workflow in Easyblog core file, once you modify it, otherwise it might causing other issue since this modification didn't go through the proper testing with different situation.

I am really sorry but unfortunately our support policy does not cover customisation

Thanks for understand.
