Hello,

We would like allow registered users on our site to create single page/blog post for their business. And display these posts as a simple business directory.

Could you please point us in the right direction to find out how to do the following:

A specific User Group to create only one blog post through the EasyBlog interface.

For the blog post to be saved in a specific category - according to the Authors User Group.

To disable comments for these types of posts

To disable cross-posting for these types of posts
Hey there,

It is possible to allow a specific user group to create a blog post. Go to backend > components > easyblog > ACL > compose > disable "allow to write new post", then save.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to restrict a user to creating only one post.

To give category permission to a user group, go to backend > components > easyblog > categories > permissions and select the user group you want to select.

It is not possible to restrict users to using blog templates or user group restrictions.

Thanks!

Hey there,

I am sorry that I have a few questions about which I'm unsure, and I'd want you to elaborate.

1. "A specific user group to create only one blog post through the EasyBlog interface?" what does this line mean?
Is it that you want a certain user group to be able to create only one single post in a certain category?

2. What exactly do you mean when you say "cross posting"? Is it auto-posting you're mentioning?

To disable comments for these types of posts

To disable the comment for these types of posts configure the setting under categories > entry layout > uncheck the tick option and disable the "Show comment form", then click save & close.

Thanks!

Thank you for replying, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

1 - Yes , I want users from a particular User Group to have access to create Blog posts.

I would like to restrict this to only one post, if possible.

And, to save the post in a specific category. May be this is something I can force with a template?

2. Thank you, I have now changed the configuration as you suggested.

I have a third question:

3. Can I restrict the available blog templates only to certain users? So, for particular User Group will only see one blog template they can use?

Hi,

Regarding post number limits, I think that you can achieve this by using PayPlans. There is a PayPlans app called "EasyBlog Post Submission Restriction".
