Hi,

Stream issue

Is there a way to restrict Stream to certain Article Categories and not others rather than hide it.

All articles go there even ones not intended for all Users (some I need to leave as Public Category)

I found this: http://stackideas.com/forums/hiding-content-from-activity-stream

If CSS is the only way how do I implement it?

Regards,
Nev
Hi there,

Sorry for the delay of this reply.

Unfortunately we do not have the settings for this restriction at this point of time . You can check this settings at Backend>Components>EasySocial>Application>Articles(users) as shown http://prntscr.com/c02iwq. But it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues in our voice page -> http://stackideas.com/voices, so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

This apply only for "EasySocial Stream module".

Hi Warith,

Thank you for your reply.

I will look at the settings you suggest.

Also at http://stackideas.com/voices I tried to submit the following, several times, logged in but nothing happened.

Could you enter it for me please " A setting to restrict Stream to certain Article Categories and not others. It would be useful to be able to select some categories and restrict other categories so that unwanted articles do not enter the stream. Currently all articles go there even ones not intended for all Users.

I feel this would be an important feature.

Thanks again,

Hi Wraith,

Many thanks!

Another issue at Stream. Code from a 3rd party, 'Hotpots" appears.
Whilst hidden in main article it reveals in Stream. (Please see attached screenshot image)
Is a way to override 3rd party code like that?

Also, I changed setting for Stream as perhttp://prntscr.com/c02iwq. but when I reset back to as before stream has gone and I can't bring it back.

Hi there,

It seems that your given credentials is invalid.
Is it possible for you to provide us with valid back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi there,

It seems that i cant replicate this issues at end. Can you provide us with links and screenshot to replicate this issues? But, for consideration, i think you can try disable "Hotspots Links - Articles plugin" at backend>plugin as shown http://prntscr.com/c0h9d4. Please give it a try and see how it goes . If not, can you provide us "super user" permissions, as we cant fully accessed your backend.

Hi Warith,

Before, this page: https://bestbluemountains.com/geeup/community.html was loading a stream of articles from a category.
Now it is loading Member conversations.

I'm not sure what changed.
Can it be configured either way?

Please update me on the possibilities and where to go to configure.

Many thanks!.

Nev

It show "Recent Updates" on your community. Currently we can't control what should be viewed on dashboard at backend .

Hi Warith,

I don't believe it changed all by itself.

It changed after I modified setting or support Admin adjustments were made.

I think I prefer as it is now showing conversation stream.

Please let me know what is it supposed to be showing?

Nev

Hey there,

I believe why previously it shown article stream on this page is because your site member haven't start to post their story in your Easysocial yet, once they post/share their status on your Easysocial page, it will load all the latest news on Easysocial dashboard page.

Imagine if now we are using Facebook, from the Facebook dashboard it also will always keep update show the latest news on top instead of keep the same stream at the same page.
