Hi. We are planning on using either EasySocial or Easy discuss for an online classroom application. I would like the ability to require someone to make a post before reading a group of posts. I'm envisioning on a weekly forum post, with students required to post weekly before interacting with other student's posts. Can this be done with one of the Stackidea products? Thanks in advance.
Hey Jeromy,

Currently we do not have any functionality to enforce user at least publish a post on the site for every week.

But if you urgently want to achieve this, you can request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customizations that you have requested.

By the way, if you would like your site user to give some feedback from other people post, I would suggest you that use Easydiscuss extension.

Just to make sure I'm communicating clearly. I'm not wishing to setup a forum that would require users to post every week. What I'm wanting is to have a forum area that would require the users to post first before having the ability to read the other forum posts in that area/category. Does that make sense?

Yes, it is not possible to do this at this point of time, it required some customisation work to achieve this.

You can download my attached file and replace into this JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/controllers/controller.php.

Do take note, this only check for the current logged in user.

And make sure do the backup first before replace this file on your site.
