The one thing that I have found missing from my days as a Jomsocial user and now the EasySocial user is a special forum for COMMUNITY MANAGERS to share ideas.

I recenty started following all the blog posts on thecommunitymanager.com at http://thecommunitymanager.com/ and it would be great to see such a special area on the StackIdeas site for Community Managers to network and share their ideas, or better yet a separate live EasySocialsub- site on the StackIdeas site. The contributing members could share and learn a lot from each other about Community Management, and some could also post some regular blog posts to thecommunitymanager.com which would in turn help to promote EasySocial, EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss to bring StackIdeas Team products to the forefront of a whole new group of customers. Think of it as giving back to StackIdeas for all they do for us happy loyal customers.

This is from the About Us page for thecommunitymanager.com:

The Community Manager is the main source for all community management-related information, including the latest news, case studies and reports.

Community Management has become one of the most sought after positions among the digitally savvy, and companies of all sizes have quickly adopted it. Its place in business is equal parts integral and confusing, and is a term that can define a myriad of job functions.

Our goal is to bring clarity to the role and help community managers understand how their role fits within the core functions of their company.

This COMMUNITY MANAGER section or new forum could be separate from the Support Forums and personally, I think that it should use EasySocial and with heavy emphasis on Groups as the engine. Eat your own dog food, and it can serve as a good feedback and test area.

Ideas welcome.
We actually have a domain joomla-social.com . Perhaps we could use that instead We'll see how this works out as we have too many things to do in our hands currently

There is another option to do this so that it is a 3rd party site. I'll explain more tomorrow ok.

I have to sleep now. Getting sleep is important to me now. For over 40 years I only slept 4 hours a night average.

Do you ever sleep Mark? I think I have asked this before.
