Hi

I am having a couple of issues and also have some questions.... re email Parsing.

First Issue - I have been able to start a discussion bye sending an email to the Categories designated email, but I get no comment (the body of the email doesn't show up in the created discussion). any ideas ?
Second Issue - If I respond to an email that is sent as an update in a conversation(sent by system) no matter what I do it doesn't; show up in the discussion.. I have tried responding to the email it's sent form and the email set up for the category, also tried responding deleting everything in he subject except the code in the brackets e.g [#15]

Question: How do i get set up for each category to send out it's updates via the email associated with that category so that people can just simply reply to that email vs changing the email address.. Ihave some very simple users...

Sorry for late reply to this,
Oh, you shouldn't delete the content when you received that email generate from Easydiscuss, because the content contains some hidden message that serves as the separator, so the Easydiscuss know where the real reply in the message.

>> In this case, you have to request with your user to manually subscribe with that specify category, because that is no this option for that.

I am clear that I can not automatically subscribe people from your setting's pages... but how do I make it that a subscribed user get's the email from the email associated with a Category vs the overall site email address ?

Thanks for your all information provided, i have tried to access in your Joomla backend Easydiscuss page, it seems like you didn't set the "easy" user have Super Administrator privilege to view your EasyDiscuss setting.

You are not authorised to view this resource.


how do I make it that a subscribed user get's the email from the email associated with a Category vs the overall site email address ?

I have updated your access rights...

Let me try again with my question...

User 1 has subscribed to Category... and user 2 post an email...... User 1 get's the email but from the general email set up in Easy Discuss.... my Question is is it possible that User 1 get's the email from the email linked to the Category, the one used for Email Parsing.... the one that you would send an email to if you were posting to that Category...

Update beyond the above question....

I can now reply via email.... YES!!!!! But if I start a new Discussion by email no notifications are sent out and still none of the text is used in the discussion it just creates a blank Discussion using the title of the email

Regarding with your question:

I have checked in your site, it seems like you disable the "Show Introtext" option from your end, when i enable it the content will show out in your discussion frontpage if the discussion inside got content existing + send the discussion post through in email. Please have a check.

Sorry not quite....

If you reply by email and delete the body of the email before typing your reply then type a reply the same initial issue occurs you get the a new message on the website but no text in it...

Any thought's ?

I have tried to reply via email while delete all the previous reply history, it seems like work fine for me.

Yes, your missing something ...

Try doing it by email..... as in you get the email in your inbox delete the content and reply, when it get's process by the Parse no message content is posted..

Said another way. I get an email saying something has been posted i reply to the email i receive delete all the content and then type my reply and send the email, when i check the system the new post from my sent email has no content
