I am trying to disable the friend request feature. Our site only requires users to follow one another and not add friends and accept friend requests. We only want our users to be able to view and display their followers and who they are following and not friends.

Thanks
Matt
Hello Matt,

I'm sorry but it is not possible to completely disabled friend request. However, you can hide the button by replacing the attached file: ../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/profile/default.header.friends.php.

Thank you very much, with a couple additional edits I think I was able to hide all signs of friends and friend requests. This would definitely be a great feature to have in an upcoming version of Easysocial as many sites are using the follower and following model and not friend requests.

Would it also be possible to add a following box to a profile page next to the followers box. This would link to the page with everyone you are following. I am currently using the frosty theme.

Thanks,
Matt

Hello Matt,

Thanks for the suggestion. We will consider it. You might want to add this feature request in our Voice page here: http://www.stackideas.com/voices/easysocial
