In the Author settings in Easyblog, there's a "Blog Description" which appears at the top of the author's profile (which is great).

But the same "Blog Description" also displays at the top of the page when you click on a title and view an entry.

Is there any way to turn that off, so that the "Blog Description" doesn't display above each entry?

Thank you,
John
Hi John,

Actually, this is not possible to do since we do not have setting to turn off the "Blog Description".
However, you may want to check this file (..\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\toolbar\default.php) on line 28 - 36 http://screencast.com/t/lAtQ8873r . This is where it generates the blog description.

Hope this helps.

Zue

Hello

I managed to turn off the blog description - many thanks for your help. It seems I can only turn it off on both (i.e. the author's profile and the heading section above an individual entry) or have it display on both. It's off both for now, anyway.

Should I be creating template overrides for the file changes I'm making?

Regards,
John

Hello again

Have I created the folder "Templates" in the right place for Template-Overriding? (screenshot attached). I haven't put anything in it yet. Just wanted to check if I'm on the right track.

Regards,
John

Hey John,

Nope it is actually incorrect. It should be in /public_html/templates/YOUR_JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/

You can read more about template overriding here, http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/customizations/template-overriding

Hey John,

Yes but you don't need a "templates" folder in protostar/html/com_easyblog/ . Just copy the files that you are overriding in protostar/html/com_easyblog/
