I wanted to remove the header, which is on top of the toolbar. I tried following the instructions, which are on the following documentation page. However, it seems that the documentation is obsolete. My website looks so different from the documentation page. Please, advise.

You're most welcome.

Yes, i see the point, I will log into this into our issue tracker.

Hey there,

In order to turn off the header above the toolbar, you can disable 'Display Blog Headers' which is at Backend > EasyBlog > Settings > General > General.

For your information, can you update your site's access and FTP's access as the password is incorrect so that we can access it and solve your problem in the future?

That setting is already disabled. However, the header is displayed. Please, check it out.
FYI, I have fixed the FTP username.

Hey there,

When I was trying to access your backend, it still gave me the following error message:

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

The reason that I need to access your backend is because I need to have a better check and understand on it.

A few minutes ago (after you sent me your previous reply), I updated the credentials. Did you try those credentials?

Hey there,

Yes, the FTP is working fine for me but what I mean backend is your site administrator which is http://honafaa.com/administrator/.

The site URL is honafaa.com/test/ (and NOT honafaa.com). This is the value, which is on the ticket since it was created for the 1st time.

Hey there,

The reason that it keeps showing is because you enabled 'Show Page Heading' which is at the settings of 'Page Display' at 'Home' Menu for your English Menu and Arabic Menu.

In order to remove the header on top of the toolbar, can you disable it and see how it goes?

I would consider this as a design bug. I have created the following ticket under a new categorisation (Feature Requests). I would really appreciate it if you can make sure the development team looks into the following ticket.

Hey there,

Actually that is not a bug, let me explain further regarding this :

Joomla All category page (without Easyblog)
-----------------------------------
If you have enabled 'Show Page Heading' setting and set the 'Page Heading' field from this 'List All Categories' menu, it will show this page title on the page, you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/D4QV7

If you leave this 'Page Heading' empty, Joomla will take the menu title as page title. http://take.ms/4nNRS

Unless if do not want to display this title header on the page, you have to disable 'Show Page Heading' setting, then it no longer show this title header on the page.

In other word, if you disable this 'Show Page Heading' (screenshot : http://take.ms/fixBY) from Joomla menu global configuration setting, and you enabled this ''Show Page Heading'' setting from this 'List All Categories' menu, it will still show that title header on this page is because Joomla current default behaviour is always respect the menu setting first.

EasyBlog Page e.g. Magazine
-----------------------------------------
It is same case with the Easyblog current behaviour.

- Disable 'Display Blog Headers' EasyBlog global configuration setting
- Enable to "Show Page Heading" setting from this Magazine menu
- Set 'Page Heading' to test

If you enabled above setting on your site, it will same with Joomla behaviour and respect the menu setting, so it will show the title header on the magazine page (screenshot : http://take.ms/DgbtD )

If you leave this "Page Heading" empty, it will use back EasyBlog Blog title as what you set from the Easyblog setting. (screenshot : http://take.ms/S97gy)

Unless if you do not want to display this title header on the page, you should disable this 'Show Page Heading' setting from this magazine menu, so it will not render this title header on the magazine page. (screenshot : http://take.ms/91xoNV )

Imagine if the user created multiple magazine menu on the site, but this user want to display the title header on certain page only
e.g. Magazine menu C

1. Magazine menu A
2. Magazine menu B
3. Magazine menu C (Only this page display title header)

In this scenario, this user can able to achieve this by enable this "Show Page Heading" setting from this Magazine menu C only. So this title header will not appear on Magazine menu A and B page.

Hope this explanation can help you understand Joomla and Easyblog behaviour.

Arlex,

Thank you very much for the effort and time you invested in explaining this in detail. I agree that all the scenarios, which you covered make sense.

However, the scenario, which I am referring to, is a bit different from you described. Please, see below.
1. Backend -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> General -> General - Display Blog Headers -> Enable
2. Backend -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> General -> General - Blog Title: Enter "XYZ" -> Save
3. Backend -> menu item of type (EasyBlog -> (Posts) Magazine) -> Menu Title: "My 1st Website" -> Save
4. Backend -> EasyBlog -> Settings -> General -> General - Display Blog Headers -> Disable
4. Frontend -> Home Page -> There is a page header of "XYZ"

I understand that the value in EasyBlog's "Blog Title" overrides the value in Joomla's "Menu Title". However, for me as an administrator, I expect that when I disable EasyBlog's "Display Blog Headers", the value at EasyBlog's "Blog Title" will NOT be used anywhere.

I spent many hours trying to find where the page header "XYZ" is coming from. Since EasyBlog's "Display Blog Headers" is DISABLED, the attribute "Blog Title" is HIDDEN from the screen.

I suggest that when the administrator disables EasyBlog's "Display Blog Headers" attribute, the value of EasyBlog's "Blog Title" should be reset to NULL.

I hope this clarifies what I am trying to suggest.
