Remove the filters bar

Is there a way to not show the filters bar without hiding it through CSS? Like an option to just switch it off in the settings?
I found the part to turn off the New, unresolved, unanswered, and resolved, ones. I would like the whole bar gone. It still shows the category and popular and latest.

Also would be nice to change the the Ask a question text without a code hack...

Hmm i have checked in your site, it seems like don't have any filter in your forum page.
Thanks for your suggestion we will discuss this with our developer team and see how it goes.

Actually regarding change this language string you can do it from your Joomla backend > Language manager > Override > NEW > search "or Ask a Question" > then it will show the result which is the word language string "COM_EASYDISCUSS_OR_ASK_A_QUESTION" > then put it on "Language Constant *" field column > type what text you want to modify > save
