I Think it would be a probably good idea to remove the bg-register.jpg from any update.
Now every time after an update you need to chance the bg-register.jpg again, that is if you changed it like I did...

Thanks Appie
Hm, it shouldn't actually replace the file because when you upload it from the settings, it stores in your Joomla template's folder and upgrading EasySocial will not reset this.

Hello Appie,

Hm, not entirely sure if I understand you here but you could actually just upload it from the back end instead.

Hi Mark,
Yes thats what I do now.. (upload with ftp)
But on every new update my own bg-register.jpg is again overwritten with the original one

So just my thought, include it (bg-register.jpg) of course in the initial install files, but remove it (bg-register.jpg) from the update files...

But thats just my thought..

Hope now its clear what I mean..

Yes Mark I know...
What I mean is,
After I have uploaded the image through backend, or replaced it with ftp and easysocial is looking the way I want it to be.
Then you guys make a new version, and I do the update to the new version, the uploaded file gets overwritten again with the default one.
