Hello,

I cannot remove "easyblog" from site title.

I have seen this issue before. However, I have tried the suggested instructions in previous posts but have not managed to get this to work.

I have turned on "Display Blog Headers" and changed it to just blog and then turned it off again. I have also turned off "Append Title On Browser".

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Actually you did the correct step to remove that 'Easyblog' from the page title.

If you look at your blog listing and blog entry page title, it no longer append this 'Easyblog' on the page title now.

If you still see this on the search result e.g. Google, mean Google haven't re-index on your site yet, so when somebody search your blog title in Google, it will still append this 'Easyblog'.

In other word, you have to wait for Google to re-index on your site pages, then it will only update the correct page title in their search engine.

Hello Arlex,

No problem at all.

I have noticed for all posts created after the switch it no longer has Easyblog in the title, which is great. However for all blog posts created before changing/turning off that feature, the title still appears to show "easyblog", this is also the same for the title in the menu item.

For example:

Menu item: https://www.aes.wolverhampton.gov.uk/news-and-events/student-spotlight
Older blog post: https://www.aes.wolverhampton.gov.uk/news-and-events/student-spotlight/hai-yan-he

Thank you.

My Website is completely up to date. I cannot currently give you FTP Access.

Have you come across this query before?

I find it strange that future posts no longer include the word "easyblog" in the title. But the old ones still do.

I also cannot get this page to change its title to just something like Student Spotlight in stead of saying "recent blog posts - easyblog": https://www.aes.wolverhampton.gov.uk/news-and-events/student-spotlight

I have given you admin access to the easyblog component on our website in the first instance. The details can be found on the dashboard link you gave me previously.

Perhaps you could let me know if the setting i have are correct.

Thanks.

So far I don't have encounter this issue before and your current setting is set it correctly, I really need to access your site FTP server then only can troubleshoot the code why it still render out this 'Easyblog' word on the page title.

What do you think if you can allow me to install file manager extension from your site backend?
If can, I might need your help to make this 'easyblog' user account to have Superadmin privileges so I can able to install file manager extension on your site backend.
