Hi There,
Can someone please let me know if Easyblog works with Sh404SEF. I have imported all of my existing items into the Easyblog and categorised them. At the moment all imported or Native items shows domainname/blog/item.html.
I wanted to replace existing item url from K2 to the blog urls from Easyblog. What is the best approach here please?
Thanks
Ramesh
Hi Ramesh,

Can you try download my attached file and replace into this following file location
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\sef_ext\com_easyblog.php
and purge your sh404sef and see how it goes?

You're suggested to backup the file that you want to replace beforehand for precaution

Hello Mark,
Thanks for reply.
I will go through the information. My K2 URLs are shown as domainname.com/item.html
The urls that comes from Easyblog are domainname.com/menu/item.html
I wanted to get what I have in K2 so that all of my current urls continue to work with backend being Easyblog.

Just to give you a live example. One of the url from K2 is http://mybeautybasics.com/hair-straightening-treatments.html
And URL for post I have created in Easyblog is http://mybeautybasics.com/hair/Permanent-hair-straightening.html

I want to remove the /hair/ from the url that comes from Easyblog.
In K2 there is configuration item to rewrite urls without any prefix but in Easyblog the easy url option still is based on having /menu/ in the url for the post view.
I noticed on your website in the demo site for easyblog your simple url is now showing an /menu/ in the url for the posts shown below http://easyblog.stackideas.com/javascript-arrays-and-objects-are-just-like-books-and-newspapers

Hi Ramesh,

Perhaps, you can make the EasyBlog frontpage as your homepage

Hello Fadhli,
Nice idea but then all my posts comes with the /blog/ in between their url
http://mybeautybasics.com/Blog/Yuko-permanent-hair-straightening.html
Is there any way to remove the /blog/ from the url in this scenario?
In this case I want to achieve http://mybeautybasics.com/Yuko-permanent-hair-straightening.html as my url for the post.

Many thanks Fadhli,
It worked! This is exactly what I needed. Perhaps this could be included as as option in the SEO settings within the Easyblog's components settings menu. Perhaps it may come handy too for others.
Regards
Ramesh
