The remote publishing feature is really useful and is much appreciated by people who are a little of the technophobic persuasion. However, if a site wants to group blogs, it appears that it is only possible to do this by blogger (or possibly by blogger group - I have not tried that yet).

So, for example; if I have EasyBlog menu items covering GARDENING and DIY and bloggers Tom, Dick and Harriet. Then so far as I can tell, there is no way that, using remote publishing, Tom, Dick and Harriet can choose to add their entry to GARDENING one day and DIY on another.

A solution would be to allow bloggers to specify a Category for their blog (at present all blogs posted by email are put in the same Category).

I suggest that a possible syntax for that would be an extension of the Prefix feature. Instead of including a key word such as [BLOG] in the subject line, the keyword might be the Category name in square brackets. e.g: [GARDENING] or [DIY].

I have noted other members of this forum have a similar need to distribute their entries, so perhaps it could be included at some time in the not too distant future.

Just a thought,

Best wishes to you all.
Thanks for the heads up on this Alan, we'll consider this in the near future At this point of time, feel free to submit a feature request for EasyBlog at http://stackideas.com/voices/easyblog
