If you are setting up Remote Publishing in EasyBlog and have several bloggers do you list them all where it says "Select a User" or just one eg Site Admin?
Hello Anne,

You can select any author for that option but if you want to map the author to the email sender, you may turn on this option: http://screencast.com/t/auaGvFovhZ . So Easyblog will search the user with the same email and map it to be the author of the post. Please give it a try.

Hi Nick,

I've run into some other problems setting up the remote publishing ... I've set up the email address correctly I believe. I've set up cron job and it seems to be running properly (code is a bit different to yours per the host's instructions). I tried to send a couple of test emails but they get to the server ok but don't get downloaded by Easyblog. I've included site details etc with this in case you want to look at the set up.

Hello Anne,

Did you send the email using the email which is not the user of your site? This is because, once you turn this Map email to the user's email option, Easyblog will only get the post if the email is mapped correctly with your user email. If not, Easyblog will not get the content.

Hi Nik,

When I did the first tests I sent from the Site Admin email address. The emails were on the server but EasyBlog didn't download them. Did you do a test email (I received a notice) and did it work? It looks like it was removed so I wasn't sure if it arrived. Anyway I've just tried three tests two from the Site Admin email address and another user email address and nothing went through. They are sitting on the server but not getting downloaded by EasyBlog. Should I turn off the map email option to get it to work?

Hello Anne,

I've created a test user to test this issue. And seems like the email is posted. However, I saw another two posts: http://screencast.com/t/eXqfKWyxx8 . Are those from you? Just to confirm with you, did you run the cron job after every email you send to test this? Also in your email title, you need to include [TEST] prefix because I've add in the prefix field.

Hi Nik,

Sorry just home but did see midday that the posts got posted on the site which they weren't yesterday so that's something! Yes I found the required prefix after I sent the first one.

The cron jobs are supposedly set to run every 5 minutes but it looks like it took over an hour to process so I'm not sure if I have the right string for the EasyBlog cron?

This is what I used after the curl string supplied by the host - http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron Should there be a .php after cron?

With other cron jobs I've set up for other sites there is usually a file such as cron.php included in the string. I honestly don't have a clue about coding and when I call my host they don't seem to know either. haha
