Hello stackideas team

Would you be kind enough (could not find on the forum) on how to configure the easyblog related post

I would like some categories to not be displayed in the related post

meaning I want to show post from category 1 but when i open a post from category 1 I dont want related posts showing from category 2 but only category 1 and 3

can we configure that it display by date, by title, selected category only? i can't find the setting or related post please

thank you very much
Hi Julien,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Unfortunately it is not possible currently to filter the related post based on specific parameters that you mentioned above in easyblog.

Hi,

I am really interested in this as well.
Funny thing though, on my previous version of EasyBlog (3.9) before I updated recently, the related post shows posts from same category ordered by date descending.

It would be really good to have this option.

Hi Mark,

Scratch that. Just found a post that have related post from different category.
However, still funny though because after I upgraded to the latest version, the post showing on related post section are not the same as the older version. Any ideas as to why?

I am curious about this topic as well. I am trying to figure out how to configure the "Related Post" Options.

If you Goto Categories>>Pic a Category>>Post Options This is an "Inherit from default settings" option. How do you change the default settings?

Also, How can you show most recent related post first on the article page. Right now I only see the oldest related posts first. So in effect the oldest 5 posts are always the ones shown.

Example:

Thanks,
David
