Version: 3.9.22295
On upgrade to version 3.9.22295, a bug was reintroduced that causes a '?' character to be appended to the end of blog archive URLs. This causes a date parse error when a user attempts to navigate to that URL using some browsers (Safari and Firefox tested).

URL (generated by the archive index mod, all URLs contain the '?'):
http://dbdesignsnc.com/home-design-tips/archive/calendar/2014/01?

Error:
DATETIME::__CONSTRUCT(): FAILED TO PARSE TIME STRING (2014-01?-01) AT POSITION 7 (?): UNEXPECTED CHARACTER

This same issue was documented in an earlier version here:
http://stackideas.com/forums/datetime-__construct-datetime-construct-failed-to-parse-time-string-2014-05-01-at-position-7-unexpected-character

Please provide a patch that I may apply in comments. Other users will likely want to see this patch as well (unlike in previous forum post) so please post openly.

Regards,
chrissy
Hi,

May i know are you using the latest version of that Easyblog archive module?

If yes, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTp access so that we can help you check on this?

Yes we are using the latest EasyBlog as stated in my original message: 3.9.22295.
The specific module version is: "Design Inspirations" EasyBlog Archive

Site access info is attached.

Arlex,

Yes, whatever you changed seems to have fixed the issue. Could you please provide instructions as to how I may recreate this fix on other customer's sites if I see it again. What did you do exactly?

chrissy

You can download the latest version of the Easyblog module from http://stackideas.com/downloads/modules

Download - All EasyBlog Modules
Extract it and update the Archive module in your other customer site.

Hope this help.

Arlex,

Final question. Is there a reason that the EasyBlog update facility (the manner in which that we update EasyBlog) does not 1) detect out of date module versions or 2) update modules. Further, is there a way from the back end to tell if EasyBlog modules are the latest version or out of date?

chrissy

Hello,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

We already addressed this problem in easyblog 5 in which during installation or upgrading it will always check the latest module and plugins from our server and install it accordingly during the process.
