Hi,

installed Easydiscuss and set joomla as the register provider. Got work colleague to register online using the 'register here' button. Fine so far, she completed her details and on the backend joomla user manager screen I can see her as well as on the EasyDiscuss forum where she is listed as the latest member.

My problem is that she cannot reply, like or post anything? Any ideas what I've missed? Tried giving my colleague author, editor and publisher rights as well as standard registered permission but still no joy.
Hello Alex,

I've located your issue. The path to your JavaScript was incorrect for the reply action due to miss configuration in your Joomla configuration file. I had fix this issue and it is working fine now.

Hello Alex,

I had registered to your site, and activate my account through email. I tried posting on the discussion page without any problem, please advice?
Could you elaborate on how did your colleague got her issue so I could replicate.

Hi Khairul

I deleted her account and reset it. Posting seems to be ok but I've tried logging in as the employee and while I can post using her account I cannot reply to posts. The reply button seems to grey out a little but nothing happens. I also tried the 'like' button and while that seems to register it fails to record on the forum.

Any help much appreciated

Hi Nik

still not working for her - I tried creating a new account myself with just the usual 'registered' permissions as per her account - same problem but noted that I didn't receive an activation email - could this be the issue?

I also tried logging in using her details on my ipad and still could not reply - but can with joomla superuser or administrator permissions.

So still puzzled unless its a technical problem our end.
