Hello,

I have encountered two issues related to the registration form.

Firstly, when I move to the second screen of the registration form, then click Previous button and move to the first screen, Reconfirm Password and Birthday fields are reset and I have to enter them again. The problem with Birthday field disappeared when I changed the Calendar mode to 3-field combination, but you might want to fix it anyway.

My second problem is with the registration form customisation screen. It seems that I can customise one field only. To give an example, I switched off the calendar view in Birthday field and clicked Save; confirmed that the view had changed on the registration form.

Then I changed Address field - made Address Line 1 optional, - and reloaded the registration form. The address line 1 appeared optional, but the birthday date returned to Calendar view.

Again, in the backend, switched off the calendar view and reloaded the registration form in the front end - Calendar view was gone, but the Address line 1 was mandatory again.

Please help me to resolve these issues.

Regards,
Vlad

Same here Vlad,

To get passed this for now, just edit each Custom field (Date, Address, etc) even if they appear to be set ok, then when done all, Save & Exit.

In mine, I just enabled/disabled a few variables for each, then it seemed ok after saving. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. It always remembers the custom settings for the field which was edited last and restores default settings for all other fields. I wonder if the different behaviour is due to different versions. I have version 1.2.18. Which ES version do you use?

Hi Vladmir,

1. Password field and birthday field has been fixed internally. I can patch this for you but I will need an FTP access.

2. Please provide your site's access so that I can investigate this because I tried changing multiple field's configuration and saving it, they seemed to be saving properly.

Hi,

Ah it seems like there was a last minute fix that didn't make it into the release of 1.2.18.

Replace this file @ /administrator/com_easysocial/tables/ and it will fix the issue.

Hi,

As for the password field and birthday issue, here are the files to patch and test:

datetime.php goes into /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/user/datetime/
joomla_password.php goes into /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/user/joomla_password/

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the quick response. Registration form configuration works perfectly now; the date in Birthday field is also remembered when I return to the first page. Nice work!

The password confirmation field, however, still appears empty when I return to the first page of the registration form. Are you sure you sent me the fixed joomla_password.php? I have compared it to my version and they are identical.

Regards,
Vlad
