Dear supporter
As I have attached a photo, you can see that I have logged in with a registered user named: tester.
At the bottom of the page what ever he comments would be under my name (admin).
Please let me know how I can fix it.
Regards
Nabi
Hey Hassan,

If I recalled correctly, this is an issue with an older version of EasyBlog. Is it possible for you to update to the latest version of EasyBlog?

Dear Supporter
1) How a user can read a blog without needing to register?
I have set setting/general/Login to read the post to No (disabled) but still there is a need to register otherwise, the post is not readable.
2) How can I change the default view to show the whole post. At this point after registering, a brief part of post is displayed, when hitting on Read More button, then the complete post can be read. I want the post to be shown completely by default without any click.
Regards
Nabi

Hey Nabi,

Please find the response to your inquiries below:

1) How a user can read a blog without needing to register?
I have set setting/general/Login to read the post to No (disabled) but still there is a need to register otherwise, the post is not readable.

How is the current menu setup on the site? Do you have a menu item that is associated with EasyBlog and is set to "Registered" only?

2) How can I change the default view to show the whole post. At this point after registering, a brief part of post is displayed, when hitting on Read More button, then the complete post can be read. I want the post to be shown completely by default without any click.
Regards
Nabi

You can disable the automated truncation under Settings > Layout . This way, the entire post will be displayed on the blog's front page. However, in order for the comments to appear, you need to click on the read more link though.

Hi Support
1) An associated menu is set to Public but still there is a need to register to watch the blog.
2) Thanks, I did it and now works. In order to hide Tags not to be displayed, I I disabled "show Post Tags" in setting/ Layout/Post Options, unfortunately tags are still shown. Sometimes when I refresh the page, they are gone, sometimes not! What should I do to hide them from viewers?

Hi Hassan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

1) An associated menu is set to Public but still there is a need to register to watch the blog.

Can you check whether the settings at your backend > easyblog > settings > general > login to read full post is set to "yes" or "no" from your site, http://screencast.com/t/2A7P1SQClw9 ? Try to change it to "No" and see how it goes.

I disabled "show Post Tags" in setting/ Layout/Post Options, unfortunately tags are still shown.

Would it be possible for you to provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly on your site?

Hi Hassan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

I am able to access your site now. However it seems like when I'm trying to open your easyblog composer it will return me with the following error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8388608 bytes) in /libraries/vendor/joomla/string/src/phputf8/utils/unicode.php on line 204

Can you consult with your webhosting provider and ask them to increase your memory_limit to 256M and see how it goes?

Hi Hassan,

I've managed to open your composer now and it seems like the RTL is showing correctly now inside the composer itself, http://screencast.com/t/n9tmi9tDp . Can you give it a try and see how it goes?

By the way it seems like I am not able to save a blog post due to the following error during saving,
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding()

The error message above is due to your webhosting does not enabling PHP mbstring where it is required for easyblog to process the content correctly. Can you ask your webhosting provider to enable it on your server and see how it goes?
