Hi,

We have people from Myanmar in our community. In the country database it's still Burma. When I change the name the order/id is not correct.

Regards,
Mark
You're most welcome.

Yes I can change a countryname but is that a good solution in case of any future updates?

If you update to next future version, it doesn't affect your modification for this, unless you click this `Initialise database` button (http://take.ms/pJ4tM), so it will delete all the existing country and state data from database then discover again default country and state from JSON file.

And what do I do with the current burmese/myanmar members?

Unfortunately, that is not possible to fix the existing user is because this `burma` country already stored in database.

By the way, If you can confirm to us this `Burma` (http://take.ms/hEbEj) should be update to `Myanmar` then we will update this in next release version.

And based on what i research, i saw this article but i do not know is it correct or not https://theculturetrip.com/asia/myanmar/articles/myanmar-s-story-the-ten-best-books-about-burma/ , perhaps you can share with us about this.

It seems like I can able to update another country name from backend, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Perhaps you can update your site backend and FTP access so I can better have a check?

Hi Arlex,

Ok thank you. I changed Mozambique to Myanmar That works fine. As far as I know Burma is Myanmar now. However I'm no expert on this subject. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myanmar
