I am using the Easy Blog Wall Module to post our blogs. When I click on one small box to take me to the full blog post, it puts it below all of the boxes(previews of the last 25 blogs). Then, if I click on another one, it takes me to the home page of our site and then the full length blog shows up at the bottom of that site to read.

It's very confusing.

Another question...Is it possible to post the last 6 blogs into the body of a Joomla article??

Thank you,
Hello Lauren,

It's most likely that you did not configure the module to use EasyBlog's menu item as the routing behavior. You can configure this by editing the module and configuring the routing behavior.

As for displaying the last 6 blogs within a body of a Joomla article, you could use the load module plugin to actually render modules within an article.

Hi,

Thank you for the information. We are not using the the EasyBlog's menu item because we are wanting to incorporate other information in to that same page.

Just to confirm, I can still configure it by editing the module to cancel the rerouting behavior?

Hello Lauren,

Sorry but not really sure if I understand you here. The links that are generated by the module needs to be associated with a menu item in Joomla . If you turned off SEF, you will notice that all urls has Itemid=xxx . This determines which menu item it is currently on and Joomla will then decide what modules should show up for the particular page based on the Itemid value.

Let me see if I can explain it better. I apologize but I am new to the program and I understand I am not using it as intended.

Currently, I am NOT using it through the menu item. I am using the module item functionality titled, "EasyBlog Image wall module" and inserted into the correct position onto the page/article. It sets up the blogs into square positions on a grid like structure. I like the grid-like structure but the read more functionality after I click on the blog image, is not happening the way I want it to. I almost wonder if there is a setting that allows you to choose "Open in a new window" or "Open in current window."

The first attachment shows the top of the page I am working on and the second image is after I click on the blog square at the top.

Also, you will see the images are blurry and I was wondering if the program can resize the pictures accordingly, automatically. Do you have this answer or I can open up a new question area?

Hello Lauren,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Perhaps if you could send us the back end access to your site and I will help you to configure this? After that, you could just look at how I set it up for you to give you a better idea.

Hi,

I just wanted to see what your timing was on being able to look at my blogs. Ideally, the first priority is to be able to click on those boxes and have the blog article open up in it's own page, rather than posting the article down below all of my boxes.

Will you be able to look at it today?

Thank you,

Hello Lauren Smith,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to access in your site -> 6.yokoco.co/administrator , it seems like not working for me. Please advise.
Also can you provide us with your Joomla backend username and password as well?
*You can put the information in the optional information field below(SITE DETAILS). Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

Hi,

Sorry about that. I wrote in the wrong website address for you. It is:

6.team.yokoco.co and 6.team.yokoco.co/administrator

I will see if I can get the backend login credentials for you.

Thank you,

Let me know what you can do without the backend login credentials. Because we are in a state of development with our site, we are in a constant state of movement. I can possibly get you the credentials tomorrow morning and get it touch with the guy in charge of our web. He also wants to be able to help work through these kinks as needed and for future projects.

Thanks!

Lauren

Hello Lauren Smith,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have checked in your site, the reason why the user click on the blog post, it will not go to the blog post itself is because you already disabled the Easyblog frontpage layout menu item from your backend.

But I have temporary help you create a hidden menu item for the EasyBlog frontpage layout from your backend, it should work fine now. Please have a check.
