I want to add in a Before Your Proceed Step on Easydiscuss like on the StackIdeas forums when you ask a question on my ChamberAnswers site.

Q: What are the basic steps of adding this?

I have not delved into too much, and wondering what the basics process would be?

---> Ask a Question! - - - > Takes member to the EasyDiscuss discussion forums page.

Thank you for any assistance from anyone on the forums.

Randall
It's a custom page created by the Stacked team. While at first glance it looks like something they customized to be built into EasyDiscuss, that is not actually the reality. For starts the url structure is different: http://stackideas.com/support/before-you-post

In addition to this the top parent class of that section of the site has a class of "item-page" which is the same as a Joomla article, leading me to believe it's actually just a Joomla article. So to create something like this all you need is a header, the subtext, and the main text. After that wrap the main text in a div and give it some padding with a border around it. Style your button at the bottom, and you are good to go.

No fiddling with php files or complicated code needed. Just use a custom html module, an article, and a little bit of css/html. Also good Joomla menu structure is recommended so that the url's look good.

Also note that the "ask question" button on the forum index of this site is not native to EasyDiscuss or at least it seems. At the very least you can put in your own on the side.
