Yep, just change the filter to "Trashed" state and the buttons will automatically change to allow you to restore from the trash

Thanks for your solution. I did use the documentation and searched the support forum, however just did not run across a good answer. If the post was deleted from the front-end rather than the backend, I presume it is lost? I did not see the specific post in the filtered Trash list.
