I am sorry but if I understand you correctly, you want the link in the recent blog module to go to blog entry rather than displaying in the same page isn't? I believe this is the default behaviour of the module. If this is not the issue, perhaps you can explain more so that we can understand you correctly. May I know do you assign the recent blog module to be displayed in every page? Can you provide us with backend access and ftp access so that we can understand this issue much better and able to assisting you fixing this.

Sorry I missed that setting completely! Have set the routing to the blog menu and it's fine now!
I also need to add a more posts link at the bottom, is this another setting I've missed or is it not available?

Do you mean you want to display a read more link in the module? You can actually configure the module to display the read more.
