Has anyone encountered the following issue with Firefox using (Google) reCAPTCHA?

On ED Posts, captcha works perfectly fine in Google Chrome (reference Attachment "Selection_023"). In Firefox however, it bombs out with the error message (attached, "Selection_022") - occurs in FF on both RHEL/CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 14.04.
Hello John,

Based on your screenshot, it looks like Google is reporting that the key isn't valid for some reasons. I can't test this as I believe you need to be logged in to post a new question eh?

Hi, Mark -

appreciate the reply; the key is valid - as mentioned/per the 2nd screencap, the Captcha loads fine/returns valid key/renders the captcha perfectly when in Chrome browser (it's only Firefox where this bombs out). I'm also seeing this same type thing with Google maps in Firefox [screencaps attached]: api key returns valid in Chrome and map displays perfectly; in Firefox the same map bombs out (must be something in FF/javascript conflicting with the api call that isn't happening in chrome?)

I appreciate your work - trying not to get too overly giddy, but the ES/EB/ED product line is very well done; thoroughly enjoying putting these to good use

Hello John,

Hm, this is odd. Perhaps you could try disabling some of your firefox addons (if there are any?) as it seems funny that it works on the rest of the browsers and not firefox. It's always the other way around :x

Also, tried purging your cache on Firefox?

Fairly interesting issues at play here - i will type up something and post it here for other users to reference as this could be an issue they will also have to deal with for their end-users, but for now please note:

this is NOT an issue with EasyDiscuss

it IS an issue with Firefox and Internet Explorer users encountering both Google's reCaptcha and Maps deployed on pages they visit (there is a mixed bag of issues here involving both reCaptcha AND Google Maps, as well Javascript and/or punycode urls, depending). More fun from Google apps...

I will try and post up a How-To by tomorrow and close this ticket out - thank you, Mark!
