I believe different component/module might display differently where as for EasyDiscuss it not require a bigger size,and huge resolution (might effect the size storage required in server as well). By the way, may I know which page of avatar/badges that display blurry? as I go through a few page in EasyDiscuss seems it shows quite fine eh http://take.ms/QpqxV
Maybe you need to use the avatar etc in somewhere else where it use a bigger in size?
