Hi

I have added Read More into a post (see attached Screen1) but when I view on my site I cannot see the Read More button (see attached Screen2).

Can you please help me to resolve this issue?

Thanks
Peter
Hi Peter,
Can you provide us your site's access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can help you check on this issue more closely?
I also tried to access your frontend but I am getting the 403 Forbidden error. Please advice.

Hi Peter,
It seems the 'Show Readmore' settings was not enabled. Once I enabled the setting in backend(refer screenshot), you can now see the 'Continue Reading' button at the bottom of the post(refer screenshot).

The setting is located at Settings>Layout>Listings>Posts>Show Readmore. Hope this helps.

Hi

Looks good. Is there a way to change the text from "CONTINUE READING" to something different e.g. "READ MORE"?

Thanks
Peter

You can override this `COM_EASYBLOG_CONTINUE_READING` language constant from your Joomla language override feature.

By the way, you can refer on my documentation here: http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/how-tos/how-to-create-language-string-override

Hi

I have just realised that "CONTINUE READING" option is showing for all of my blogs. I only wanted it to show when I have specifically added the "Read More" option within a Blog. At the moment only one of my blogs has this setting set "FIVE INNOVATIVE BUSINESSES IN NEW YORK RIGHT NOW".

Thanks
Peter

I have help you enabled this setting `Show read more only when necessary` from your backend > Easyblog > settings > layout > truncation , now the system will check if all the blog content already shown on blog listing, it will not show the Continue reading button.
