Hi,

When I go in and edit a published post and then save, the 'Read more' bar is not cutting off content to only show intro on my homepage. I actually have to go back into the post, delete the current 'read more' and add in a new one for it to work.

You can see an example in the 2nd line of posts on this page: http://www.kcedventures.com/blog/tags/back-to-school
Hello Jacquie,

It's most likely that the automated truncation settings is incorrect but I am just suspecting on it right now. Is it possible that you provide us with the back end and FTP access and I will take a look at it?

Hi Mark,

Am I looking for the StackIdeas sign-in details for access to the admin panel? I'm sorry - not very technical -- what is the FTP access you are asking for (is that my cpanel?)

Hello Jacquie,

Sorry for not being clear enough in my response earlier. You can head on to http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site to include your site access. On that page, enter your Joomla super administrator access and also the FTP access which can be obtained / created on your cpanel

Once you have done that, post a reply here and let me know.

Hi Mark,

I saved the admin credentials in our account. We do not give FTP access to anyone other than our developers so please advise if they need to make any adjustments.

All posts should truncate at the "read more" bar and we can see that the code changes when post is edited -- and even when I insert a new 'read more' bar after editing, there is still no truncation happening

Thanks for the help!

Sorry - it's working when I enter it so I must have mistyped it here -- re-entered it again.

Some of the posts were imported from our old site but others are brand new -- and the problem happens anytime I go in to edit a post. You can see on this tags page: http://www.kcedventures.com/blog/tags/fall-fun?start=15 that there are a number of posts where you can see the read more bar but it is not truncating at that point - instead it is showing probably the 5 paragraphs that are set in the truncation settings.

I've fooled with the settings but I don't see anywhere how I can make it truncate at the 'read more' bar? Thanks for the help!

I've applied some fix in this file, it should work fine now, can you give it a check?

JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\post\post.php

By the way this fix already push in latest version of Easyblog.
