Hello Mark

I have tried to add the Block "read more". Well I did add it, but it doesnt work.

Somehow it does not divide my text. Is there something I forget to do ?

Best regards,
Hedi
Hey Hedi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I tried to access your site and none of the posts has any read more block. Am I missing anything here?

By the way, just for your information, a read more block is mainly used to separate content. For instance, you want to have intro text and a full text, you would construct your blog this way:

[text block]

[read more block]

[text block]

Hello Mark

That is what I think I did. You can please check again. The article "Aufenthaltsraum Boulderhalle" is now done with the "read more block".

Thanks and regards
Hedi

Hey Hedi,

That post seems to be fine as you can see from the listing, it is correctly truncated, http://take.ms/lalZa

Am I missing anything here?

Hey Hedi,

Ah, I see! It is actually because the module was configured to pick from the main content instead of the intro text, http://take.ms/ylxhj . I have configured it to pick content from the introtext only, and it will render only the introtext now

Hi Hedi,

The setting to enable readmore link in the module is located in the module settings: http://take.ms/nZatL

I have helped you enable this setting: http://take.ms/MovZq

Thanks for the kind compliments.

One more question...... if I have not set a "readmore" in the article, it still shows it in the Showcase, even though there is not more to read. Is that correct or can I avoid that ?

Hey Hedi,
if I have not set a "readmore" in the article, it still shows it in the Showcase, even though there is not more to read
That is correct. This is how the settings behave.

If you want to change this, you would have to template override the following file: JoomlaFolder/modules/mod_easyblogshowcase/tmpl/default.php http://take.ms/uGjZD

You're most welcome Hedi.

Remember to create the override file at JoomlaFolder/templates/current_template/html/mod_easyblogshowcase/default.php(create directory and file if they do not currently exist)

Without overrides, your changes are not protected from future updates.

Hey Hedi,

It's pretty easy, you just need to copy the file that you modified into the path that Raymond specified /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/mod_easyblogshowcase/ and you are good to go

The folder wouldn't exists, but you can just create it with your FTP

Do you mean you want to hide images from being displayed in the showcase module? If that is the case, you could turn these options off, http://take.ms/iB0FI

Yes, I turned this option off, and it still shows an image. I dont have a cover image, but in the article itself I have 2 images. And 1 of them it shows at the top inside the showcase !

Hey Hedi,

I tried to check your site and it seems like those options are enabled. I have disabled them for you, http://take.ms/2It4Q and the image is no longer showing up on the home now

Ah, not a problem at all Just for your information, it needs to be disabled instead of enabled because by enabling it, you are configuring the module to display the images

Have a great weekend ahead Hedi!

By the way, I will mark this thread as resolved since your initial issue is already resolved but if you require any further assistance, please feel free to start a new ticket
