Hi Guys.
I noticed today that my social points were racking up rather quickly even though I wasn't doing too much on the site. The culprit was the points rule "Read Author Blog Post". It appears that this is being activated every time one of my blogs was being hit, be that by a human viewer, or a robot! Is there any way this rule can be refined to exclude robots from counting, or if not that, to only count the posts if someone is logged into the site and reads the post?
Dave
Hello Dave,

Unfortunately we do not have a full set of list of "known" robots Even Joomla doesn't check against these too

That's a pain eh?
Okay, well then, maybe an option in the next release on the rule to allow users to track either *all* hits, or only hits from people who are logged in (i.e. Registered). Otherwise people will end up with ten's, if not hundred's of thousands of points

Another idea is to allow the admin to choose what bots to block from counting the hits. But I suppose the same problem will still persist. Members only hits sounds reasonable.

I don't see the purpose of this rule, just because I click on the blog, does not mean I read it.
