Hello Mark,

i like the new EasyBlog reactions feature and wanted to use it, but i can't find, where to activate reactions for just some categories, as we can't use it for all categories. Or is there a way to hide/show reactions like comments on editing an article?

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla
Hi Macjoomla,

Currently there is no way for reactions to only appear in certain articles/categories. This feature is fairly new and we do not see anyone requesting this feature as of yet. If you want, perhaps you can create a feature request for this first so we can see how widely requested this feature is.

Hello Raymond,

thank you for your fast answer. Because reactions are similar to comments, i thought, this would be a standard feature and i just was blind to find it.

You are right, as these cool reactions are very new, most people are just starting to use it and will then search for the preferences to show it only on certain blog posts or categories

For example we use EasyBlog completely instead of joomla native articles, for example in Contacts and Impressum and other informative pages, we dont want somebody to be sad, surpriesed or angry with

So please consider to make this possible for those users to be able to use reactions at all

Thank you and best regards, Macjoomla

Hey Macjoomla,
Yes you brought up a valid point. There will certainly be users requesting this feature down the road as they want to only use this feature on certain posts/categories only.
We are able to guarantee anything for now. Nevertheless, I have put this into our tracker so that we can add this feature in the future.
