Hi,

As I could not update my installation of joomla from 2.5 to 3 I created a new DB
As instructed by you I first exported all easyblog file to an sql db, imported them and installed easyblog again
worked so far

but - the users have now new numbers - and due to that I get an error message when using easyblog. How can I reallocate the articles to the new user number (or otherwise at least get rid of the error)
The error prevents as well editing the articles ...
solved after upgrade to 5.0

Hello Dirk Hanke,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Yes, when you migrate your user to another site, the user ID should be regenerate the new user ID.
But you can try this method for prevent the error message shown out in your site if the system can't able to find the user ID.
You can set the setting from your backend > Easyblog > Setting > Workflow > Maintenance > Owner for orphan items - set this in your Superadmin ID
hope this help.

If the error message still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

The immediate issues are solved by changing the user ID in the database to the new ID. So far it looks like everything works.
But somewhere must still be a reference to the old user as I still get a warning message when I go to Easyblog – setting:

Warning
JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 43

Any idea where I can have a look?

Dirk

Hello Dirk,

Not only post can cause the error. You might want to check tags, categories and etc. Please give it a try. If it doesn't work, you can provide us your backend and FTP so we ca check it for you.

thnx, but that far I could figure it out myself. so everywhere where i could find the user id, even in the stream log, it has been changed and the user has been deleted.

therefore I asked where it could possible sit where it is not obvious that this is a user id
i went to all easyblog tables but there are none left
