1. The native ED ranking functionality is not working. We've set rankings based on points. But as users accumulate points the rank does not change. What is preventing the rankings from working?

2. For some reason ED requires a login in order to view a member's profile. Is there a way to make profiles public?
Hi Mark,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

May I know do you recently applying this ranking system on your easydiscuss system? If yes, you need to let all users to gain atleast 1 point for the rank to take effect. I've tried to post a test post using stackideas account on your site and gaining total of 4 points and my rank now has change from "new" to "contributor", http://screencast.com/t/CEl0zWu9t5yK .

I can't seems to replicate this issue in my local instance. By the way the provided FTP access seems not to be working for me. Can you re-provide the access so I can check on the code directly on your site?

Thanks for following up.
Reset FTP for you. Credentials are below.

We will test the ranking.

To replicate the member profile issue, do the following:

1. Logout out of the front end.

2. Go to the Members page (attached)

3. Select a Member.

4. RESULT = routed to login page.

Issue with ranking is still there but is clearly inconsistent. Points received for accepting an answer to your own question seem to trigger ranking changes BUT points received when someone votes for your question or your answer don't seem to trigger ranking changes.

Site is up again. Not sure why you are having trouble with FTP, it hasn't changed. But I reset the password and entered the credentials below.

I've tested the ftp connection for the second time. It works fine. Please help us address the issue. I've reentered the credentials again.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the access. I've checked your site and the badge system is working fine. I think there is confusion on how the vote a user question/reply works. Here is the example:

User A created a question/reply.
User B vote the question/reply.
User B get the point and ranking for his voting action. Not the User A.

As for the Profile page issue, it is because you have Easydiscuss Profile Menu item that only can be viewed by Registered user: http://screencast.com/t/NjSGxmEU

Hope this helps.
