So I want to do giveaway's with a site called rafflecopter.com Well I created a raffle there and it says to put code into my website. So I figured that I would use the HTML block for EasyBlog 5. The problem I run into is this.

When I use the HTML block and put the code in I get the rafflecopter to load right away, but when I get to my website to view it. It says one giveaway, shaken not stirred or another phrase by rafflecopter, and continues to load, like it is stuck on something. I have left it loading for over 2 hours in some cases and it never seems to load.

Examples below in attachments. Not sure what I am doing wrong, it seems to load fine in the composer, so I think it is not from them but from our side.

Zack
Hello Zack,

I've tried to access your site with the given site details but I am getting this: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Hello Zack,

Thanks for the access. Can you provide us the HTML code you are using so we can test it on your site? Or maybe you can create a test post for this issue.

Hi Zack,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I've missed out this thread earlier. I've checked the html code and it seems like the source is a bit different compare to your screenshot on your initial post here. Can you double check it for me and see if it indeed the correct html code to be use on your site?

Please advise.

It does not matter what source code you are using for Rafflecopter.com. You get a different source code every time you create a new raffle on their site. All I was curious about is why when you put the source code in the composer under the HTML block it shows up fine the first time you enter the source code, and then after the source code is entered and you work on another page in the composer it just loads and loads the rafflecopter script, where when you enter it for the first time it shows up fine. I am not sure if the composer is formating the html right. I think it is stripping out part of the source code specifically the script part. I was not sure and wanted to see if you guys could figure out that part. It is still doing the same thing on my site.

Hi Zack,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. The reason why I'm asking is it the right code or not is because this is what appearing when I'm trying to use the existing rafflecopter code from the test post on your site, http://screencast.com/t/jvsUSVq7aIY .

I also try to use the same code in my local site and it showing the same result in composer. Please advise.

Yeah, that is not the right thing that should be showing, it should be showing a box, like the attachment that I posted originally. That is why I was asking, if it is something the composer could handle or if I should try another giveaway promotion thing. Was not sure on how this worked with the HTML block. It seems like it is not working with in the HTML block at all. It looked like to me that the composer was stripping out the <script>. So was not sure and was wondering if there was a way we can have it ignore it. According to this post this is the way to do it with Joomla. But can we do the same thing with the composer?

Hi Zack,

Ah I see. By default easyblog will automatically strip out script tag inside the composer. You can change this behavior by going to your backend > easyblog > ACL > select user group > text filters, http://screencast.com/t/ZcQAk1Ecql . Can you give it a try and see how it goes?

Hi Zack,

Can I have the code again so I can test it out in my local instance? I've checked your site and it seems like the test post is no longer there.

I am going to see if the HTML works now. I recently switched hosting providers. The hosting provider I was using was really hindering me. I was paying way to much for something that did not work well. I also moved from iis to apache, which seems to have fixed a lot of the issues I was experiencing.

So I am going to try the html again and see what happens, and will let you know if it is fixed or not.

Hi Zack,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we have missed this thread as we have been overwhelmed with support since the release of easysocial 1.4.1.

We are able to replicate the issue in our local instance. From what I see, the script is injecting new html code right after you placing the code inside html block. For example the original code is as below:
<a class="rcptr" href="http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/b4e86b015/" rel="nofollow" data-raflid="b4e86b015" data-theme="classic" data-template="" id="rcwidget_bu0a41af">a Rafflecopter giveaway</a>
<script src="//widget-prime.rafflecopter.com/launch.js"></script>

But after the code was placed, it immediately become as below:
<div><iframe id="rcwidget_bu0a41af" frameborder="0" style="width: 402px; height: 469px; margin: 0px auto; display: block;" src="https://widget-prime.rafflecopter.com/classic/f3e8204/main.html"></iframe></div>
<script src="//widget-prime.rafflecopter.com/launch.js"></script>

Hence causing the issue. We are still investigating on this issue and will get back to you once we have found a proper fix. In the meantime, you can try to use a different editor such TinyMCE editor if you want to include the html code inside your blog post.

Okay. Good to know, I can wait for the fix. Not a huge deal. Glad there is a solution to this that will get put out there in the future.
