Hi Guys,

i just installed 1.2 beta and have started to eveluate it, So;

1- Quick registration module is not usefull because of some missing things
- Name & Surname (important)
- E-mail confirmation (important)
- Birthday area (important)
- username area ( Maybe 0ptional)

here is the best sample may be you can copy it

And also something wrong with css declaration please check my 2 different pages. It doesnt show properly without another easysocial item
Thanks for the input on this but I cannot promise that this will be added in 1.2.

Hi there,

I think it is a bit of a missed opportunity to have to predetermine the profile associated with module. It basically means that if you have more then one profile on your site, you cannot really use this brilliant module.

Still, 1.2 looks great

This is a bug and it is in beta This will be addressed in the next version.

Again, I am asking everyone's cooperation to submit issues related to the beta on our issues page rather than our forums

You can ignore that version first as that section needs some updating.

6 months, I been waiting years for something like EasySocial. I think what Mark meant was when ES is either stable for 1.2 or the next beta.

That screenshot Gökhan provided is a nice idea for a quick registration. name, username, birthday and confirm email are very important during registration. I would love to see these implemented in the module sometimes soon. Beta looks Awesome. Many thanks guys!

Perhaps this is too complicated, but what would be really cool is if you could select the custom fields to display in the quick register module! Just like how you can choose the custom fields for groups. That would make the quick registration module very flexible.

Alrigth Mark,

Joking apart,, quick registration module will be used on most of website instead of normal registration. Because quick reg. module is more modern then normal reg. page. its really awasome but currently not usefull. I think you know that.

******** username, email realtime control ( if they used or not) like current registration page
******** Warnings... if a place is empty or something, there must be warnings. via a small sign or different colors
******** Birthday, country, Name and Surname pleace definetely must be there (maybe optional)
******** Bot and spam protection
**** Most of web site use more then one profil type, You can change its structure On backend, admin can choose profil types, if there is more then one profil type, (maybe multiple select list) and then user can choose it on front end (like gender)

I am waiting a quick solution, little improvements at least on this version. I will appreciate ....

Hi,

We will reevaluate this and rediscuss this internally but we cannot promise if this will be in the upcoming version.

The anticipated points will be:

1. Ability to set what field to appear in quick registration
2. Quick registration will then point to the full registration page
3. No live validation will happen in quick registration as we want this to be light weight. The validation will happen in full registration page.
4. Profile selection (this already there)

Hi,

1. Ability to set what field to appear in quick registration (Awasome)
2. Quick registration will then point to the full registration page (like Twitter ?)
3. No live validation will happen in quick registration as we want this to be light weight. The validation will happen in full registration page. (come on !)
4. Profile selection (this already there) Can we choose more then one profil type? I havent Tried yet, If yes that is awasome. I mean like "Gender"

Not: I writed my web site details for ( http://stackideas.com/issues/1464 )

Hi,

2. We haven't fully decide on this yet but it should be like Twitter.
3. Since the registration is pointing to the full registration page anyway, it is redundant to validate the form multiple times.
4. I misunderstood what you mean here. Currently you can only set the module to use which profile. In the future there will be a intermediate page for user to select a profile.

Please also understand that, as we are rushing bug fixes, this will most probably won't make it into the next beta or the next stable version. We will see if we are able to juggle this through but no promises.

I completely agree with go khan on point 4. You really need to give the option to choose the profile type, if not, it makes the module useless for people with more then one profile!!

Same here. As the quick registration is attractive, i think I will brave it and will allow only one profile into it (the simplest one) and impatiently wait for the upgrade...

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something here, but don't we want the quick register to quickly register the user rather than bring them to a extended register form? Yes that encourages user to fill out more info, but it also discourages the user from signing up initially due to "it being too much work". I admit that it is a debatable subject.

There are many sample how must be a quick registration module, and most of them contains ;

1- Sperate name and surname areas
2- Email checking and confirmation area
3- Birthday area
4-Password checking and confirmation area
4- City or country area
5- If you have 2 profil types, its really absurd that you can only use for one profil type...
