1. On the display of the address block, is there a way to align the boxes better? In my case I want to pull the zip code and state up (see image 1). I also would like to make sure it is not changed when I get an update to EasySocial. (I have this on a localhost so there is no login info I can provide.)

2. on an unrelated note... where is the setting for allowing a registered user to post on his, or a friend's timeline? Everything else seems to be working, but I have no menu item (I have Home | Profile | Events | Friends | Followers | Photos | People, and in the NEWS FEED, I have Everyone, Me & Friends, Following, My Favourites, and Pinned Items. (see image 2)

Thanks in advance!
Hey Rick,
The privacy settings in the profile type actually acts as the default privacy setting. Users can then configure/change the privacy of the fields in their profile if they want.
If you want to display the state and country to the public, you can leave the address line 1 and 2 blank(make sure to disable the requirement).
If you want to keep the address line 1 and 2, then perhaps you can actually add another address field for the profile type. For the first one, you can set the privacy to friends or only me, that way it would not be displayed to the public. For the second one, you can just configure it to display the country and state, privacy to public(http://take.ms/0wF4p, http://take.ms/2CtVg, ). Try this out and let us know how it goes.

Hi Rick,
1. You can edit this file if you want to change the arrangement of fields in the address field: JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\fields\user\address\themes\default\content.php
You can perform template override for this file in this path to protect it from future updates: JoomlaFolder\templates\yourCurrentTemplate\html\com_easysocial\apps\fields\user\address\content.php
Do note that we do not provide customization support.

2. You can post into any user's timeline by first heading into their profile page, then post something in their timeline(http://take.ms/eUP39).

Raymond... thank you for the answer to number 1.
On number 2, I'll have to figure out why my timelines aren't showing up. As you can see from my screen shot, it looks very different from yours

Hey Rick,
Try clicking on one of the users under the Recent Users section. It should direct you to their profile page where you can post into their timeline. You can also click on the 'People' link on top, then click on any user to head to their profile page.

Thanks Raymond... the more I fiddle with this thing, the more questions I have. If you don't mind... one last question on this thread...

On my Privacy Settings in Profile Types... I have "friends" can see my address... this shows in the INTRODUCTION panel as State & Country... but also shows the full address in the Basic Information area. I don't want the street address showing as a matter of privacy... I have the Country field marked as "Everyone" can read (figured that's what would trigger it) When I place the address field to "Only me" the State & Country fields disappear. So... basically I just need the state and country to appear on the INTRODUCTION area, and keep the street address and city private. (did that make sense?)

I added an image. I would LOVE to have the state and country show (to registered users) but not the street address or zip
