Hey guys how it going'

Had a quick question i seem to have issues with finding people with the search in EasySocial, i don't think that its set up quiet right, is there a way to index every thing? i mean does it index on auto or am i surposed to index it manually?

if you login to the site and do a search for "john" if you do is equal to you'll find one (there are more) if you do contains you'll find 4 i think but there are 10 people with the first name john and they are notshowing up.

any ideas?

best
Hey Alex,

I tried to access your site's administration area but seem to be hitting this, http://take.ms/0lFUZ

Hey Alex,

I am really sorry for the delay of my reply as my mac just died right while I was checking your site I had to get a replacement and just managed to restore some of my data from my old mac

By the way, is it possible for you to add a whitelist for my ip address again (because my ip changed), http://take.ms/FJjJG

sorry man, I've been swamped with work just launched the new site for client been mad, any how,

How does the indexing work? or at least how does the search work? In my mind it worked of the smart search or some things like that, i know some thign is off because if i do a search for David brown he doesn't show up. I'm just trying to understand the logic behind the indexing and if i'm missing some thing that i should put on Cron or some thing.

Hey Alex,

Yep, that is correct. The search in EasySocial relies heavily on the Smart Search in Joomla. In other words, when a new user registers on the site, it would then immediately index the new user's details in the Smart Search in Joomla.

The Smart Search in Joomla uses keyword indexes where it would index words from a content.

No problem Alex. Ah, perhaps you could just clear the cache and try to run the index again.
