There is really nothing much you can do because of the way the dropdown is being used on the template. One way that I could think off, is to turn off event binding on the "POST" menu and manually add the "open" class on the wrapper, http://take.ms/NhSEo

Because when you click on a button in the quick post module, the event does propagate and since the mega menu is listening on hover, this is why it gets "refreshed".
