As for the "Permalink", you can remove it by editing the theme file /components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic/post.reply.item.php

But the important question - a very serious issue I have - is this: When I a s a test user post a question, I write a few lines and then post it. But then ther is only a short peace of the question shown, not the whole text! So I cklick on the posting to open it in the hope that I will be able to read the rest - but the rest of my question/text disappeared. It is not shown!
This is since the new version has been installed, other users noticed the same. Just make the test: Register, post a few lines, go to the start page and then try to read it.

I have tried to login to the site using the provided username / password but it is not working. Anyway, when I tried to view the discussion at http://www.stillforum.ch/index.php/wie-kann-ich-mitmachen the question does seem to appear correctly? Am I missing anything here?

The permalink is a feature where user's can copy and paste the link so that they can easily share the link of the item.

Yes, this question is an old question. I modified it last night but its an old one. All af but one question are old, I dont know why all of the questions are highlightet "new" all of a sudden.
You have to try posting a NEW question in order to see what I mean.

Thank you for this, but NO IT DOES NOT. Your post shows correclty, thats true. But you posted as ADMIN. When I post as a user (ChantalGMX) my posts are truncated as are those of other users.

The truncate issue is came from JCE Editor. Which you have set the particular user group to be able to use the certain feature. http://screencast.com/t/t6K81SKQ For user group that is not ticked is not able to use it. I am very sorry, but the problem appears again. I haven^t changend anything in between. Linda tried to post a question but it didn^t show completely. She had to write I personal message to my lactaion counsultant. So I made the test and yes, my questions are not shown well. I didnt log in as administrator but as a user with ChantalGMX and 1234. It doesn't work. I am sorry. I tried every editor but it doesn't make any difference. Please help me with this. I have been so habby with stackideas products until today! Maybe I have to go back to a former version?

Someone is resetting this on your site, http://screencast.com/t/t6K81SKQ . We can't be helping you to change the settings all the time After re-setting the settings to allow JCE to be used by the user, it works fine now.

Sorry, I have the same problem again. I now know that it has something to do with the JCE Settings. You even showed me a screen shot. But I cant remember and am not able where to access these specific settings in order to change them again.

According to the previous reply, the setting is in Backend>JCE Editor>Profiles>Default: http://screencast.com/t/5lmxt0wKD1S . You might want to check which user group that user belongs to and include it here in the settings. If it doesn't work, may I now which user facing this issue?
