We are running a community based site where we want to run a series of easyblogs privately - ie. internal managed users, and also use Easysocial for community based things including creating blogs etc.

Ideally, we have locked down the new users in EasySocial so that they cannot go to the main blog page and create and modify blogs etc, but this means if the user adds the blogs app it will not allow them to create a blog.

so how do we manage this problem? is there some way to allow users to create a new blog in EasySocial and not to create one in the easyblog system?
HI,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

so how do we manage this problem? is there some way to allow users to create a new blog in EasySocial and not to create one in the easyblog system?

I am sorry but the EasyBlog app in EasySocial is mainly to list down user blog posts and if you want to edit / create new blog post, you still need to do it in EasyBlog.

Hope this help.

Hey, Actually I managed a work around, all I did was lock down the easyblog categories that I did not want registered users to use to all the other Joomla user groups - it works perfectly well. Thanks so much.
