The password protection, isn't set by EasyBlog. Your browser is actually automatically filling it. There is no work around for this unless we change the password field to a cleartext field

But to be honest, I don't understand, since auto filling from browser wasn't the case in 5.0

How can I change the field to a cleartext field??

And btw,
where is the button where the blogger can set if he wants his post on the front page or not?

It has always been the case with 5.0. It's not just you, other users complained about it as well. We have removed that settings in the composer altogether but you could try this, https://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-toggle-switch-for-publis-on-frontpage . Is this settings really necessary for your author?

To be honest currently I have to user groups. Group 1 has ACL to post on frontpage Group 2 not. I could ımagıne that my users ın group 1 want to have the decission to decide in future since my site is growing. Currently I can live without it, as long as I know that the missing button is no mistake


What about the text field?
Can I declare it my self as cleartext or do I need to change the code somewhere?

If you really want to, you can edit /components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/composer/panels/post/general/password.php and replace type="password" to "text"

Guess I will keep it with the acl for the moment.
