Hi all,

I am running EasySocial on a site which is split into two parts.

1. Content-rich magazine-style site, using K2
2. Community, using EasySocial

Currently, the magazine is open access. I would like to put all of this content behind an EasySocial login/registration screen, ie the only way to access that content would be to register.

Is that possible...?

Cheers,
Paul
I believe this configuration / setup would be possible with the combination of lockdown mode and your menu items in Joomla.

Thanks Mark. I'm using K2 for content and have figured out that the best way to put content behind an EasySocial login wall is to make menu items for each K2 category, and then make those Registered

(Do not make the K2 categories themselves registered though, as the content then disappears from public view, so they won't see a teaser which clicks through to a login prompt).

What's weird, though, is that it works for some menu items, but not for others.

Hello Paul,

Hm, I think the permission check needs to be done on the article itself rather than menu because I could bypass the menu item easily by faking the item id. Unless K2 checks for the menu id.
