Hi,

We're working on a new site that has EasyBlog installed. Every time we publish ANY EasyBlog module to a page, the page then loads completely blank (white). Even with Joomla's error reporting set to Maximum, no error message appears.

A few more details:

  • Nothing relevant is showing up in the cPanel error log.
  • The site is running Joomla 3.4.1, the latest version of EasyBlog (3.9.22295) and the latest versions of all the EasyBlog modules.
  • The site is currently running PHP 5.4, but we also tried changing it to PHP 5.3 and 5.5 (didn't make a difference.)
  • I tried changing the template to Bees 2 (one of the core templates) and the issue still happens.
  • There are no EasyBlog template overrides, and no EasyBlog (or Joomla) core files have been altered.

I'm running EasyBlog on other Joomla 3 sites and have never had this happen before... Any ideas? It's a big mystery, especially since Joomla error reporting isn't displaying any errors.

Chris
Hi Chris,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I've checked in your Easyblog module version, it seems like only "Subscribe module" updated.

Can you update all the Easyblog module to 3.9.2 version in your site and see how it goes?

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for the quick reply. When I posted the issue above, I included some notes in the "Optional Information" field. They mention a specific page you can use to reproduce the issue, and I also gave a module name and ID. Simply publish that module, go to the URL I mentioned, and you'll see the problem.

Cheers,
Chris

I thought we had already updated all the modules, but apparently not. I just updated them, published a few, and the issue seems to have been resolved. Thanks Arlex!
