Is there an option to allow the public to view all event stream items without logging in for open events?

I have open events that that anyone can join but can only see the stream if logged in (the default setting on EasySocial).

However i also have open events that anyone can join BUT also need the stream content to be visible to the public without a login/be a member requirement (stream posts marked as private would still remain invisible to the public).

How do I allow public visitors to the website see the stream items for an event?
By right, it should allow user see those stream item from open event.

Perhaps you can provide us one of the event name which public user unable to see those stream from the event so I can better have a check?

You can find it at this event, there are a large number of posts visible when logged in.

Hi Richard,
I noticed those stream items are posted by a super user. If that is so, you need to enable this setting in Settings>Events>General(http://take.ms/3ilCG). After that, the super user's stream items should be visible.

Thank you Raymond, the stream appears now.

My fault, i didn't read the instruction for that item properly as in the community activity stream you turn it on to exclude items, but in events/groups/pages you turn it on to include them, i had just assumed they were the same. I have turned on groups and pages as well now.

Is there any way to allow the public to see the whole stream and not just the number of items that I set to appear before the page load (when it asks them to log in to see more but members can click for the next group of items)?

You're welcome Richard. No worries.

Unfortunately this is not possible without some degree of customization.

I understand Raymond, maybe something to be looked at in a future release, where if it is too major a coding adjustment to allow full viewing in the acl for public access, add an option in admin to allow full viewing access to another acl group.

Anyway, just a thought and thank you again for your help.

Hey Richard,
Thanks for your feedback. The adjustment is definitely not minor. Perhaps you can start a feature request for this at EasySocial feature request category. If this feature is greatly demanded by users, perhaps we can consider it in the future.
Regards.
